Soul Camping
Hello friends. First let me say something important. This 'Remember Who We Are' blog is about ALL of us waking up and remembering who we really are - so much more than just this wonderful invention of skin, bones and blood! So I would love to hear YOUR stories about your own remembering journey. We are all in this together and the more support we have, the easier it is. We are all One, but most the time we don't act like it! Your waking up is my waking up is our waking up. So I am just back from 24 hours camping in Dartmoor National Park, here in Devon UK. It's been well over a year since I last camped there and I won't leave it so long next time. As you will see from the photos, I had all four seasons in one day! Sunshine, sunset, then rain and mizzle but when you have a tent and a warm sleeping bag, the weather is always the right weather :) This month I am celebrating the work of Suzanne Giesemann, reading her memoir 'Messages of Hope' and her book about a remarkable man called Wolf. Suzanne is an inspiration to me because she had a very successful career in the US Navy and then after her step-daughter Susan tragically died after being struck by lightening she went on a spiritual journey. After sessions with a medium, to her total surprise and delight she discovered that a) Susan was alive and well, just not in a body anymore and b) she, Suzanne, was able to communicate with the spirit realm too. She is now a world class evidential Medium and she inspires me to keep practicing. It's great news to know that we don't have to be born knowing we are a Medium, but that we can pick it up at anytime through wishing for this experience to happen and through dedicated practice. We are all psychic mediums - it's standard equipment, not an optional extra! Please check out her website for more info; https://www.suzannegiesemann.com/ So back to my camping, I had a wonderful moment of insight this morning. I looked back at the empty space where the tent had been pitched overnight and I had this thought. Our souls are having many camping adventures, across space and time. Sometimes our souls camp in human bodies, other times animals, trees, wind, water and also many other life forms across the universe. Just like my tent contained me and kept me warm and alive for a time, my body contains the spirit of my soul and it experiences the world through my body. So even though my tent is back in it's bag, I remember all my experiences during my short camping session, just like our soul remembers all it's adventures and experiences. Every thing, every moment and every event is lovingly stored. Not so much 'internal storage', more 'eternal storage' :) In fact the thought came to me this morning that our souls are really 'libraries of adventures'. So my friends, make the most of this precious, divine adventure in matter, in these amazing bodies. And remember we really are spiritual beings having a human experience. If life doesn't feel like a 'fun' adventure at times, that's OK too but just remind yourself life is meant to be an adventure, with new experiences and learning opportunities always around the corner. We don't have to take life so seriously! Above all, remember to be GRATEFUL for this amazing experience. I thank God/Universe/All-There-Is every day for my body, my spirit and my soul, which is really OUR spirit and OUR soul, as it all comes from the same Source. "I am you and you are me. Together for eternity" Love. Rob xxxÂ
