Today I visited Holbeton primary school, which is a small village school near the beautiful Erme estuary. The children were amazing as always but what really stood out about this visit today, and it’s the first time it’s happened, is that the school bought a Master Owl book for every child to take home today! The privilege of sound
Today I visited Highweek primary school in Newton Abbott. Quite a large primary school with 300 children. It was another wonderful day at school but what really moved me today happened in last session with the year one class. There was a girl in the class who was deaf and a lady came to the front to sign read the story of Master Owl for this girl. It was fascinating watching my words translated into sign language. I read my story a little bit slower so that she could keep up.

The icing on the icing on the cake!
Just finished at my first school of the week, Denbury primary school. 35 book orders in a school of 95 children! Incredible, but that wasn’t the best thing that happened. Three children just came up to me at the end to say that I have inspired them to write two books. One is about the ‘story cloud’ which is my name for where stories come from and the other is going to write a book about a leaf that never dies, as it travels through all the seasons. Blows my mind! They are g
